26 Great Nail Art Ideas - Going on Holiday

This week's prompt was Going on Holiday - I really wasn't sure what I was going to do - I love holidays but the run up with all that organising and packing and checking lists is quite depressing! Anyway, Dixie Plate Summer 01 arrived and I just had to use the cute flip flop image. I have never even owned a pair of flip flops but the kids live in them on holiday and they just scream holiday to me.
I started with the stunning holo base of  'Ard As Nails Freeze Mother Bit*hes, a colour that just conjours up images of deep blue swimming pools and it is the most beautiful blue. This polish is amazingly holo too, far too amazing for me to photograph!
Then I added the blobby image on Dixie Plates DP11, using Messy Mansion Amalfi Coast, a similar toned blue to the holo and I think it was the perfect addition for a holiday mani!!
Finally the flip flops! I thought I'd try Barry M Popsicle, a gorgeous deep pink and it stamped beautifully.
This is definitely one of those manis which came out a whole lot better than I thought it would and I wore it for 3 days - it made me smile !
I also could not resist taking a few photos with my dolphin, a momento from a Portuguese holiday a couple of years ago.

Nail Crazies Unite - Fruits

This week's prompt was Fruits. I don't have many fruit images but as I was browsing through my plates I spotted Bundlemonster BM-702 - it has strawberries on and they are my favourite fruit.
I think it coincided rather nicely with a swatch of iZ Beauty of London Ready to Wear, a gorgeous dusky pink. I am not really a pink person, I use it in manis but there are very few pinks I would just wear - a dusky pink is the exception, I love a dusky pink!!!
This one applied beautifully and it was a shame to stamp on it so soon but I did think it was a lovely base for my strawberries. I stamped using A England Rose Bower, I love this slightly pinky red for stamping and I thought it was the perfect choice.
I was really pleased with how these turned out, even if I was brought up to believe you shouldn't wear pink and red together!

26 Great Nail Art Ideas - Water

This week's prompt was Water.
I am afraid this is a very brief post - very busy week.
I used Bundlemonster BM-XL210 + Sloteazzy and Barry M Guava over Barry M Scuba to create a watery background (sorry no step by step shots again this week)
Then I stamped Bundlemonster BM-XL209 + Lucy's Stash with Messy Mansion Delft Blue and Amalfi Coast. I don't think the contrast was sufficient to see both layers. It was visible to the naked eye, and slightly more visible on the matte version.

Nail Crazies Unite - Music

This week's prompt was Music - luckily I have a stamping plate with musical symbols on. I was a bit short of time doing these before going on holiday so I probably didn't spend long enough on them but I think they looked OK.
I started with a base of iZ Beauty of London Curious Ivy. This is a really pretty pale green which was sent to me for review. It applied really nicely, gave good coverage and dried quickly.
Then I added some stamping with Clear Jelly Stamper CJS-11 and Moyou London Black Knight. I stamped a few notes across the nail and then added a few musical symbols. The base looked a bit bare so I sponged on a small amount of iZ Beauty Emerald City and then added matte top coat.
I think the 2 greens went well together.
