Pocket Money Polishes Brown Eyed Girl

With the 1st of September came the launch of the September Sparkle Collection from Pocket Money Polishes - 8 new and beautiful glitters and naughty Charlie teases us with pictures and the occasional blog post so that by the time the launch happens, you already know (well I did) exactly which ones you want and need! There I was, one whole hour before the launch, with my order form completed, ready to press the send button at 6pm! As soon as they arrived, I knew I had to try Brown Eyed Girl first and I am certain it is my favourite so far. They are all stunning of course but this one is extra special, just something about it really captures my heart.
I did actually swatch my new pretties on the side of a mug, I was that impatient to try them out! I tried this one over a few browns and oranges, but I wanted a base that would not compete at all with the glitter.
Brown Eyed Girl is a clear base with a mix of brown and gold hexes, smaller brown hexes with a sort of chequered pattern, small gold hexes, very tiny gold glitter that seemed to be holgraphic and last but not least, bright pink squares - not too many just enough to add that little bit extra.
I chose Leighton Denny Leading Lilac as my base as I thought purple would be a good contrast but didn't want to go too bright. I think this subtle, quite neutral shade shows the glitters off perfectly.
I have to say I also tried it over China Glaze Riveting and it looked fantastic! for another time!
I fell in love instantly, and I got lots of compliments on this mani from fellow mums on the football side lines, so its definitely a winner!
Its quite an unusual polish I think, nothing like it in my collection, and just perfect heading into the autumn months, with all those winter woollies coming out.
