Well, I did it. I used my fanbrush mani as a base and then waited 'til the next day so it was properly dry before doing the tape. I only had one type of tape so I used vinyls stripes too.
I applied the tape and vinyls in a random pattern and then painted with A England Polovetsian Dances, a gorgeous dark purple holo that I thought would give the best contrast against the green and orange.
It smudged a bit in places and although I took a lot of photos there was no getting away from the fact that this was not my best work! At least I tried...

I feel your pain about striping tape. I've been pulling mine out lately and am reminded of why I don't use it often- such a huge pain! Haha but you cN
