TarasTalons Mardi Gras

I have something very pretty and delicate for you today. This is Mardi Gras from TarasTalons. It is a lovely ice blue holo. The holo is quite subtle but definitely there; the sun was shining today when I took the pics and it looked so pretty but the camera just saw a shimmer.
This is quite a sheer polish but I used a couple of coats of Nails Inc Fulham Palace Road as an undie. The FPR is pale enough not to distort the colour, but created a nice clean base for the holo. I used two coats of Mardi Gras, it painted on well, and dried quickly.
This polish came with another holo from one of Tara's monthly subscriptions so it was not a colour I actually chose, and probably would not have chosen, as my tendency is to go for dark colours but I am delighted with it and I am completely comfortable wearing it. There's something really wonderful about trying a new colour that you wouldn't normally choose and find it is quite lovely! Finding some matching knitwear was a bit of a challenge as I tend to wear mostly dark coloured woollies too, but then I remembered a jumper I'd knitted for my daughter, in a funny multi-coloured wool with shimmery strands and all sorts going on - I think it goes rather well.

  1. This is so cute, I love the beautiful sheen it has to it, it looks so soft and feminine! Also as always a great match with the knit-wear! :D xx
