Iconic Effect Ashes

A while ago I might have been heard to say, I'm not really fussed about holo polishes... silly me!! they are so mesmerising! and I will be the first to admit I was wrong!
Today's polish is a very beautiful holo by UK Indie Iconic Effect. I have already blogged about a number of their polishes, all of them beautiful, and of course their Extreme Holo top coat, but they also have a range of holographic polishes in the most beautiful colours.
This is Ashes, a dark grey holo, a lovely slate grey, just very slightly blue and extremely wearable! I love dark grey as a nail colour so even when the light isn't catching this and creating rainbows, it still looks gorgeous.
This applied well, but I did find that it was a tiny bit sheer at two coats so I did apply a third coat and it is just perfect! It's so glossy and smooth and I am properly in love.
My biggest frustration is capturing the holo in my pics. I was lucky enough to see some sunshine today and managed to get some reasonable shots. The problem is that I can see the holo almost all of the time, obviously more prominent in bright light but my camera can't, just as it refuses to pick up the twinkle of a pretty glitter. That said, these pics aren't bad, and if you are looking for a lovely dark holo for winter then why not give Ashes a try?
I have included the shots where the holo was being shy as the polish looks so lovely anyway!
