Models Own Southern Lights

I have something super sparkly for you today, very pretty! I have had this for over a year and finally got round to using it last night, prompted by someone on All Things Nails using it.

Models Own brought out a Winter Wonderland Collection and I bought Southern Lights and Northern Lights from that collection.
From swatches I have seen they are similar polishes, with Southern Lights being more Lilac, Northern Lights being pinker.
Southern Lights is a mix of lilac and holographic glitter and most swatches I have seen have been of 2 or 3 coats built up to for full opacity. However I was already wearing a purple/green duochrome which I will redo and blog properly as I didn't do it as well as I would like, so I painted one coat over the beautiful Nail Lacquer UK Continuum. With Continuum being predominantly purple I though it would make a great undie for Southern Lights.
Southern Lights is SO sparkly! It reminded me of something I had seen recently and then last night when I took my socks off I spotted it!! I have Ciate Jewel on my toes (3 coats), I still think this is one of the most sparkly things I have ever seen! This Models Own polish has that same sparkle to it.
In some lights the glitter is just a very pretty grey lilac and then as you turn your hand there is an explosion of brightly coloured rainbow! I like this against the dark background, the sky for the Southern Lights to perform against!
