26 Great Nail Art Ideas - Lilac, Pink + Gold

My last few manis all seem to have gone wrong so I decided to play safe with a nice random pattern for this one. As there was no theme I figured I'd get away with it.
I started with a base of Avon Luxe Lavender (I don't seem to have any lilac polishes) and then I used Uber Chic Mini - Texture-licious with Avon Frosted Peach (virtually gold) to stamp a random camouflage type pattern.
Then I used a scribbly pattern from the same plate and stamped with Colour Alike Fuchsia Flash.
The gold was a bit subtle but overall I think it turned out OK.

Nail Crazies Unite - Delicate Print

This weeks prompt was Delicate Print. I am not entirely sure I went down the right route with this one but it is done now and I liked the end result.
I had just been sent some polishes to review by iZ Beauty of London so I thought I would use one for my base. I chose the dark green, Emerald City as I thought it would look pretty with some delicate holo stamping over it.
It is a beautiful green, almost tealy. It applied nicely, giving good coverage with 2 coats and dried quickly.
Then I stamped with the peacock tail image on Powder Perfect - Art Deco 1 and A England Dancing with Nureyev. Sadly the sun did not shine so no holo photos but at least you can see the stamping.

26 Great Nail Art Ideas - Yellow and 1 bold colour

This week's prompt was Yellow and 1 bold colour. For my bold colour I went with the lovely stamping polish that Messy Mansion sent me recently, Amalfi Coast. This is a bright tealy blue although over such a powerful yellow it does look rather green. I don't think that matters, it's still bold.
The base colour is one of the new neons by 'Ard as Nails. I am not really a neon sort of a person but it's nice to have a full range of colours at my disposal and I have to say Oi Blondie seriously is a great yellow!! I am unlikely to wear it on its own but it's a perfect base for stamping.
I wanted both colours to be fairly equal on my nails so I chose a fairly solid image from Dixie Plates DP10. I didn't want the yellow to stand out too much but I didn't want to swamp it. I think the balance is about right although I subsequently stamped over it with white and black. It was still bright, but much more wearable for me!
As usual I took a million photos, but I think in the end the green background worked better than the reddish purple bush that I usually favour for my photos.

Nail Crazies Unite - Watercolour

This week's prompt was watercolour (or watercolor)
I started with a white base, 'Ard As Nails White Van Girl, and then stamped various images from Moyra Florality 2 with Saffron London Black.
I used the Saffron polish as it's quite a washed out black, not the best for stamping but perfect for doing a soft outline.
I did try colouring directly onto the nail with sharpies and then using the isopropyl alcohol but that didn't seem to work very well for me so I scribbled on my Ubermat and then added the alcohol and painted it onto my nails. That seemed to work better. I just used blue, green and purple.
I think it worked quite well and  hope you like the bluebell shots.
