Nail Crazies Unite - Sunflowers

This week's prompt was sunflowers. I am not certain if the image I used is actually a sunflower but the colours are right!
I started with a base of 'Ard As Nails Oi Blondie (neon yellow!) and then stamped with Dixie Plate DP02 and A England Lancelot (black red).
Although I'll probably never be a lover of yellow nails I think they worked well!

26 Great Nail Art Ideas - The End of Summer

I love summer - well, I love warm weather and we certainly don't get enough of that in England but there is one thing that I do like about the end of summer. All the woollies can come out - as a knitting person, who really prefers a chunky knit to a light weight summer one, I am always happy to get all my jumpers, cardigans, scarves and of course gloves out ready to wrap up against the cold!
So, when it came to this prompt, End of Summer, I decided knitting was the way to go.
I used one of the gorgeous Messy Mansion plates MM85XL with Messy Mansion Bisque to stamp over my fanbrush mani of brown, green and lilac.
I really like the result, lovely and cosy!!

Nail Crazies Unite - Nautical

This week's prompt (well, last week's - late again! and too late for the inlinkz) was nautical.
Messy Mansion sent me MM93XL to review a while back so I thought I'd better use it again as it hasn't had a lot of use.
I started with a base of Itsy Nails In Deep, a lovely watery blue, perfect for a nautical mani.
Then I added one of the rope images with Moyou London White Knight.
Then I added the anchors with A England Natasha's Dance. I chose 2 images, the smaller anchors on index and little finger, and the larger images on middle and ring finger.
As a final touch I coloured the larger anchors in with my Sharpies, but the colour wasn't quite close enough and I didn't top coat the final stage for fear of smudging!
The photos aren't brilliant and I think a matte top coat would have helped, but again, I didn't want to smudge the colouring - sorry!!

26 Great Nail Art Ideas - Colour Explosions

This week's prompt was Colour Explosions and as I had just done a black, white and red fanbrush mani I thought that would make a good base to add yellow, green and blue.
I used the splashes of paint image on Lina Make Your Mark 03 with Colour Alike Cobalt Kick, Colour Alike Yellow Glow and Colour Alike Green Light.
I liked it but I did think it needed a bit more colour so I added a second layer with parts of the same image and Colour Alike Fuschsia Flash.
Finally I added a matte topcoat although I think the glossy finish was my favourite.
