Nail Crazies Unite - Beach

This week's prompt was beach - I decided to use Dixie Plate Summer 01 again and went for a selection of images including the very cute flamingo.
I started with a gradient base of Barry M Golden Sands and Polished by Leanne Ocean Breeze - great names for a beach gradient!!
Then I stamped with Barry M Popsicle, because flamingos are pink!
I took a couple of glossy shots and then added matte top coat and took all the photos with my seaside prop - my Albufeira dolphin as it is also pink!

26 Great Nail Art Ideas - Sunshine

This week's prompt was sunshine. I searched through all my plates and really couldn't find anything suitable sunshiny and then it occurred to me that maybe a mandala type pattern, stamped yellow on orange or orange on yellow might do the trick.
I had just used Apipila Super Plate B for another mani and spotted an image that I thought would be perfect. So I painted my nails neon orange with 'Ard As Nails Too Shy and then stamped with Esmaltes da Kelly Bee.
I took a selection of pictures including an impromptu shot with some self set poppies in the back garden. To be honest, since I don't like yellow or orange very much I didn't really expect to like these much but I did (not sure the photos really do them justice either, not the right colour combo for my camera or my skin) - but one of the nice things about nail art, you just have to give things a try, they might surprise you! I think it helped that the sun was shining!!

Nail Crazies Unite - Ocean Life

This week's prompt was Ocean Life and I couldn't resist using the very cute images on Bundle Monster BM-S166.
Although the colours weren't exactly typical for an Ocean Life mani, I am tight for time again so I used my fanbrush mani as my base. As it turned out I think it looked OK.
I stamped with Messy Mansion Delft Blue and I think that looked great against the silver background.
I do love the cute images on the Fuzzy and Ferocious plates and they always seem to stamp well.
There are not lots of pictures because it was raining, and to be honest all the pictures I took looked the same!
I did go on to colour the images in for another challenge so I have included a mini collage at the end.

26 Great Nail Art Ideas - Beach

Sorry the posting is so late...
This week's prompt (well, last week actually) was Beach (or animal silhouettes) but I wanted to use Dixie Plates Summer 01 so I went with beach!
I used my coral and gold mani from #whencolourscollide as my base. That was Dixie Plates Summer 01 and Avon Gold Leaf over Nails Inc Copacabana Coral.

Then I added Dixie Plates Summer 01 and A England Proserpine. They turned out quite well but really needed a matte top coat to capture the detail on camera.

Nail Crazies Unite - Neon

This week's prompt was neon. I wan't quite sure where to go with this one but when I saw the Friday fanbrush colours -lime green, beige and black- I decided they'd go well with neon pink.
I chose the palm tree image on Dixie Plates Summer 01 and stamped that in neon pink over the fanbrush mani. I don't think the coverage was quite as perfect as it should have been for full impact, the dark base did still show through the pink a bit, but overall I liked the look and the colour combo.
The neon would not photograph and by the time the weather and lighting had improved I'd worn the mani for 3 days and it was not quite tidy enough for more photos.
A lot of my recent manis have been a bit rushed, not enough time to redo the less than perfect ones but I am hoping I will have a bit more time and energy now and get back to doing better manis.
