Stamping! Pueen SE03A over Avon Silver Crystals

So there was this lovely textured polish, the Avon Silver Crystals, really stunning but I just couldn't resist seeing if I could stamp over it. As it was so textured I wasn't sure how well it would take the stamp but I just had to find out. I chose one of the rose images from Pueen SE03A as I wanted to keep the stamping quite subtle. 

I used Essence Stampy 002 as that is my most opaque stamping black, and I was delighted to see it worked really well. Stampy 002 dries matte, so once I had topcoated it looked even better. The contrast is good enough to clearly see the image and to see that the image transferred completely despite the very textured surface.

I was so pleased with this mani, so pretty and very wearable, I would have worn it longer but tomorrow is A2Z day and I need to get myself sorted out for something multi-coloured! Watch this space for something very out of my comfort zone...

Avon Stardust Silver Crystals

I love textured polish, so when Avon brought out their Stardust range just before Christmas and they were only £3 each, I had to try them. Silver Crystals is the first one I've tried and it is lovely, I am so pleased I bought it!
It is so sparkly, and actually not really silver, more of a very pale pinky lilac which is even better as I am not really a fan of silver. It doesn't quite suit my skin tone but this is perfect, almost a nude tone and very wearable.
This polish applied really well - I have used 2 coats but coverage after one coat was pretty good. It dried really quickly too, unlike some textured polishes which are still dentable for some time. This has a lovely look and texture to it, a real crushed precious stone look, and the sparkle is stunning! In fact I stared at it so long it finally dawned on me what it reminded me of - marcasite, all those metal like surfaces catching the light like jewels!
I really like this polish and I am so glad I bought the others in the range too, can't wait to try them out.
