Stamping! Avon Jade Reflection and FUN13

Today I have a little bit more stamping to show you. New to my stamping collection this week are some Fab Ur Nails plates, and new to my stamping polishes collection, the Avon Metallic Effects so it made sense to me to give them both a try.
The Avon polishes came highly recommended for stamping and were only £3 each in the last brochure. I was still wearing my Black Cat Lacquer Chivalry is Dead, which I noted had the tiniest hint of green to it so I decided to try Jade Reflection, which is a soft green metallic polish, and I chose a pretty 5 point flower image from FUN13. I went for this one as it is quite a strong image  and I thought it would be a great test for the metallic polish.
The plate and polish stamped perfectly, I am really pleased with the finished look. I particularly like the contrast between the dark, sparkly holo Black Cat and the soft metallic finish of the Avon and I'm glad I chose an image which left quite a bit of the base visible.
I think Avon have discontinued this range so I am glad I snapped them up. I have never been a fan of metallic style polishes but as stampers they are great!

Black Cat Lacquer Chivalry is Dead

I am really pleased to say that today's polish is actually still showing its thermal properties.The last 2 Black Cats I used were stubbornly un-thermal and I thought this one might be the same.
Chivalry is Dead is a grey thermal with scattered holo, very pretty in its warm and cold phase although it was more than 24 hours before my hands had warmed up enough to see it shift off charcoal grey!
The scattered holo is lovely, just a shimmer in daylight but comes alive under bright lights, particularly the LED light I have at my desk. In its warmest phase this seems to be a mid grey, so I probably didn't need the coats of Leighton Denny Zero Gravity I put under it.
This is a very wearable polish, leaning slightly warm and with an almost a greenish tinge to it in its warm state, rather than a cool blue grey. I love grey anyway, so loving this in all its phases from mid grey right through to the dark charcoal shade, which it has been most of the day!
I used 2 coats, it applied well and dried nicely. Photos are taken with top coat.
I did get a bit of tip wear with this, maybe because I have 2 coats on over 2 coats of LD Zero Gravity, so when I finally got the warmer shots and captured the tiniest hint of thermal gradient the tips are looking a bit shabby - sorry!
I am so happy that this polish still "works", although if it stuck at dark grey holo, I could probably live with that!
