July Challenges - Neutral / Waterfall, Pastels and Tropical!

I was late for 2 challenges - Neutral/Waterfall for #30daysofcolourchallenge and Pastels for #clairestelle8july so I went for a pastel waterfall over a neutral base.
I started with Avon Mudslide  and used saran wrap to add Avon Neutral Grey for the neutral base.
Then I did the waterfall with Nails Inc Bluebell and Royal Botanical Gardens, Avon Peppermint and Luxe Lavender.
I was quite pleased with how this turned out.
It's been a really busy week - I seem to have been playing catch-up so I looked ahead to see what was coming in the next few days. Inspiration struck when I spotted Tropical coming up next for #clairestelle8july and I decided it would be perfectly fine to add tropical flowers at the bottle of the waterfall.
I stamped some foliage from Moyou London Tropical 03 with Hit the Bottle Absinthe Minded and then added flowers from the same plate with Hit the Bottle Magenta at Your Own Risk.
Since I completed this on Friday, it was only right that I added it to #hawaiianshirtmanifriday too!

Wiki'd Nails - Salicylic Acid

This week's Wiki'd Nails Challenge was Salicylic Acid - this is extracted from the bark of the willow tree so I bring you willowy nails (or as close as I could get them), and some flowery nails at the end too!
I started with a base of the lovely Kandy.Colors Avacado Smoothie and then added my willow bark with UberChic Beauty UC2-02 and Kleancolor Metallic Brown. Then I added my willow leaves with Born Pretty BP-19 and Virtuous Polish Rahab.
I think the combination of colours and plates worked quite well although I couldn't help thinking a panda would be well at home in this background!
Anyway in the absence of a panda stamp I couldn't resist adding some flowers for #hawaiianshirtmanifriday with Moyou London Tropical 03 and Virtuous Polishes Patience and Holy City. These looked OK but there was still something missing so I added more flowers from Moyou London Tropical 03 with Virtuous Polishes Miriam.
Finally, as if 4 layers of stamping wasn't enough, I added a coat of Above the Curve Ruby Rhod, a gorgeous holo top coat, just to soften the whole effect.
The flowers weren't part of the challenge so I have filed them in the July album rather than the Wiki'd album - just in case anyone is looking for them!!

June Challenges - Pastel / Stamping

The #30daysofcolourchallenge for today was Pastel / Stamping so I decided I'd stamp with Virtuous Polish Magdalene, a yellow pastel/neon hybrid which I thought would look good over a dark base.
I started with a base of Kleancolor Neon Sapphire, not very neon but a lovely dark blue. Not sure what went wrong but when I top coated the stamping, the yellow melted into the blue - hey presto we have green, not exactly what I had in mind! I think it looked pretty but not really pastel.
Anyway, I hadn't planned a second layer of stamping but since this went wrong I thought I'd better try again! I stamped with Moyou London Tropical 03 again and Virtuous Polish Queen Ester.
