Dance Legend Thermo 176

Today I have another thermal polish, I am rather addicted to these. This is Dance Legend Termo 176 which is a dusky purple to pink thermal. Both shades are lovely, it goes from a dusky mid purple/ aubergine shade when cool to a dusky dark pink when warm. It seems to change quite quickly when it does go, it's one or the other.
The first coat went on a bit streaky but that evened out with the second coat. It is quite a thick polish, and I think the coats I used were a touch on the thick side but it dried well. The finish was not particularly shiny but I would almost always use a top coat anyway.
The biggest challenge I had with this, and I experienced it with my other Dance Legend thermal, was that my nails were quite warm when painting so when I went to put the 2nd coat on I was painting over a different colour - not a major problem but a bit disconcerting!
One of the phases I like best with thermals is the transition where most of the nail is warm and just the tips are cold, so I am glad my nails are that bit longer at the moment.
I had great fun this afternoon watching my nails. The sun was shining and I sat out for a while watching my kitties trying to catch insects. In the warmth of the sunshine I could actually see the nails changing from purple to pink and then, once I moved into the shadows, back to purple again.

Liquid Sky Lacquer Margaritaville

Today's polish is really special! I kept seeing swatches of this and being intrigued but not really sure it was one for me, but then I loved the most recent swatch I saw and only a day later, there it was for sale - it was fate, I bought it!
I am not disappointed! I love it - Liquid Sky Lacquer Margaritaville is a green thermal holographic polish - so that's 3 boxes ticked!
Margaritaville is a bright fruity lime green when warm and a gorgeous green/teal shade when cool, plus of course it is holographic too.
It painted on well, coverage was good with two coats and it dried nicely. The thermal properties worked really well, so that you really could see the change from lime through to teal green. Some thermals are just too quick for me, or don't seem to change at all. Wearing this was a delight, I loved both extreme shades and those in between and found that the lovely transition phase when the tips are cold and the rest of the nail is warm happened quite a lot, so I was able to take plenty of pictures. The holo didn't disappoint either - all round winner! I love this polish and, despite my pile of untrieds, I will definitely be wearing this one again, soon.

Moyra 252 Infinity

Moyra is a European brand which has only just become available in the UK. Included in their quite extensive range are 6 holographic polishes, and as I rather like holos I thought I'd better give them a try first!
The range includes a silver, blue, green, pink, purple and a nude shade. I thought I'd try the nude first as I don't actually have any nude holo polishes, so this is 252 - Infinity.
Infinity is a delicate pale coffee coloured holographic, and it is really beautiful. I did have a bit of an issue painting it to start with, as I think I had too little on the brush and ended up with some streaks, but when I was a bit more generous with the polish, and painted it on gently the finish and coverage was fine with two coats. I was patient and left a few minutes between coats to ensure no dragging but the polish seemed to dry quickly, so I probably needn't have done that. I put a layer of topcoat on and was dismayed to see the holo disappear in front of my eyes, but don't worry, once the topcoat dried the holo was back, pretty as ever!
The holo is quite strong in this and I think I've captured it reasonably well in my pics, lucky for me the sun is shining today! This is a very wearable shade and I am delighted finally to have a holo nude in my collection.
These are excellent value for money, especially as there is an introductory offer on at the moment. The Moyra UK website is not up yet but the polishes are available through their facebook page.

Hare Dog Day Dream

I had received my first Hare polish in a swap at Christmas and loved it instantly. My second Hare polish was a gift from a lovely lady as a thank you for making her some gloves, and this one is instant love too!
Hare Dog Day Dream is a fuschia pink jelly packed with hexes and squares in blue, purple, pink and red with fine pinky red shimmery glitter.
I swatched this when it first arrived and decided as it's a jelly it would be a 3 coater or need undies. As I happened to be wearing a rather lovely hot pink polish it made sense to use that as a base and add the Hare on top, so this is two coats of Dog Day Dream and it is just perfect!!! I have top coated it but actually the finish was lovely and shiny without.
I am not a big fan of orange but the slightly orangey red glitter in this works beautifully with the pink and purple, such a fantastic combination and I'm still not sure I have listed every glitter in this delightful concoction:)
The colours weren't very true on my sunshine shots so these are mostly in the shade but here it is - utterly gorgeous!

TarasTalons Daisies

This is a very pretty polish, one of the Holo Hands polishes from Tara's monthly subscription.
April's polish is called Daisies, and it is a bright, hot pink with lovely blue undertone to it.
It's a great colour, warm pinks really do push the limit for me but I do love a cool pink like this.
The formula was good, great coverage in 2 coats, painted nicely and it dried well. I have top coated it and I don't think it dulled the holo effect at all. I do think the colour was actually a bit more vibrant than these pictures show, but at least I got some sunshine shots so you can begin to see the lovely holo shimmer. I am delighted with this month's polish.
I love the last shot as it picks up the blueness as well as the holo - so pretty!!

A England Her Rose Adagio

I have a real beauty for you today, and one that I fell I love with the moment I put it on, despite thinking it might be just a bit pale for me.
On 2nd of April A England had a special sale. Adina from A England has the most beautiful silver tabby called Tristam, and 2nd April was his 3rd birthday. What a great day for a birthday too, my lovely tabbies also share that date.
So, in celebration of this gorgeous kitty’s birthday, all polishes were £6, and I grabbed the opportunity to buy a couple of the Ballerina Collection.

Her Rose Adagio is a delicate soft pale pink holo. It is truly beautiful, and not a sugary pink, more of a neutral shade. My pictures haven't captured the colour too well, the final pic with the flash is probably the most colour accurate although a bit over exposed but it is pinker than most of these pics look, and I think that was a pleasant surprise to me. Its a lovely subtle shade, but so pretty! The shimmer is really nice and the delicate holo is gorgeous as always, but camera shy!

As with all my A England polishes the formula is fantastic, virtually opaque with one coat although I did do 2. The pictures are taken without a top coat, the finish is lovely and I was hoping for a better chance to capture the holo but the sun refused to shine, so we have daylight lamp shots, real daylight shots and flash shots.

I was just going to get Dancing with Nureyev, but I am so pleased I got this one too, I love it!!

Pahlish Train Underwater

Another of last weeks polishes that I am catching up on blogging is Pahlish Train Underwater. This is a real beauty and I received this in a Christmas swap. It's so beautiful and a complete crime that that it has taken almost 4 months to actually wear it!
This a blue jelly polish absolutely packed with glitters - various sizes of squares and hexes in blues, teal and pinks. For a jelly the coverage is good too. I did use 3 coats in order to completely hide the nail line but the glitter is so dense it was less of an issue anyway. It built up nicely and dried well, but did need a couple of coats of top coat as it had quite a bumpy finish.
This is a lovely polish, a really nice blue, slightly tealy I'd say and the combination of glitters work really well. I loved wearing this. It was bit tough to remove, took more than my usual glitter removal time of 5 minutes, closer to 10 minutes of soaking, but it didn't stain which would have been my concern with such a deep colour.
Train Underwater is my first Pahlish, I do have one other to try but first impressions - lovely colours, great quality and it wore really well. A real winner!
