September Challenges - Plaid (or Tartan)

This weeks prompt for #wnac2015 was Plaid ( or Tartan if you are English).
I added stripes with A England Briar Rose and Lealac LLC-A to Glisten & Glow Electric Lemonade. Then I used A England Proserpine and Moyou London Hipster 05 to add the tartan pattern.
I am quite pleased with how these turned out - I love tartan and I think the colours work well together.

A England Briar Rose

Today's polish is another beauty from the Burne-Jones Dream collection by A England. This is Briar Rose. It is a cranberry shade but with a lovely soft duskiness to it which makes it very wearable. The holo in this one is quite subtle, but still very beautiful.
The formula was great, I did 2 thin coats but coverage was pretty good with the 1st coat. The pictures are taken without a top coat, but I did top coat it afterwards- it's so pretty I want it too last!
I have always said I don't wear reds, but there are so many beautiful variations on red that I think I've got over that now. I think I'd still struggle with a pillar box red, but I am completely comfortable in a softer shade like this.
