When Colours Collide - Yellow and Grey

I can't say this was my favourite #whencolourscollide challenge - yellow and grey... well I love grey but I really don't like yellow.
Anyway, I gave it my best shot, trying to keep it fairly simple so I did a gradient of Leighton Denny
Brick Road and Leighton Denny Graycious and then stamped with Esmaltes da Kelly Topolino and Messy Mansion MM20

When Colours Collide - Grey and Pink

Grey and Pink for #whencolourscollide -
I started with a base of a rather lovely pink, HJ Manicure Candy Pink.
I then used HJ Manicure SubZero and Esmaltes Da Kelly Topolino with Apipila Super Plate E over a gradient of Candy Pink and HJ Manicure Pink Bikini.
This challenge was really popular and we had to do 3 collages - see the end of this post.

Finally, as a little extra, I used Avon Mirror Shine Polished Pink and BundleMonster + Lucy's Stash BM-XL209 to add those sweet little bubbles.

December Challenges - #manidaretoinspire

One of my IG friends, lovely Iva @secretjewelgarden tagged me for #manidaretoinspire
We had to chose a partner, send each other a picture and then create a mani inspired by the picture.
I paired up with talented @leonies_nailart and this is what we did.
I sent Leonie a photo of a sunrise that I had taken recently and Leonie sent me this amazing shot of a little shoot bursting through a crack in some tarmac.
Leonie did a fantastic watercolour style mani of my sunrise, it was so beautiful and not at all what I was expecting, which is perfect - these collaboration are wonderful for changing the way you think.
I struggled to think how I could represent the picture Leonie sent and in the end I just went with the colours.
I used a base of Kiko Sugar Mat 646, then I stamped some cracks with Yours Cosmetics Sacha Gossen YS12 and Esmaltes da Kelly Topolino
Then I added the swirly shrubs with Pueen SE04A and Esmaltes da Kelly Bruce and finally flowers from Messy Mansion MM20 and Esmaltes da Kelly Dolly.
I top coated after adding the grey cracks but left the final mani un-topcoated so it still had quite a rough feel, and matte finish.
Although I was nervous about this mani, in the end I was pretty proud of what I'd done and I think the final collage with Leonie's mani looks great.

40 Great Nail Art Ideas - Grey and a colour - Roses

This weeks 40 Great Nail Art Ideas prompt was Grey and a colour and my pattern was Roses.
A colour - means that - just one colour and I spent ages deciding which colour but I have always loved the idea of blue roses, even if they don't really exist so in the end that's what I went with.
It was a great excuse to use on of my blue un-trieds, Too Fancy Lacquer The Patronus Charm from the September Paint the Rainbow box.
The Patronus Charm is a dark greyish blue holo with blue shimmer. It is a very wearable shade and I am certain I don't have anything similar in my collection. I love blue and that greyishness is just perfect.
Then I stamped using Esmaltes da Kelly Topolino and Uber Chic UC 1-02. I love this image and for this mani I think it gave the right amount of stamping versus back ground and I am really pleased with the contrast between the creme stamping and the holo.
